Details

Resources for clinical immunology services and teams to use when screening laboratories refer a baby with a higher chance result for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) following NHS newborn blood spot (NBS) screening.

Resources include:

  • a letter template to use to send for parents and carers of babies who were referred for flow cytometry but no SCID was found (copies to be sent to GP and health visitor)

  • text to email to parents and carers to confirm the flow cytometry appointment following a higher chance result for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID)

Translated versions of the text to email to parents available in Arabic, Bengali, Hindi, Polish, Somali and Urdu.
