Details

This publication summarises the findings of a systematic review commissioned by Public Health England and conducted by Solutions for Public Health.

The review explored interventions aimed at improving participation by underserved groups in screening programmes in the UK.

The review looked at evidence from UK-based trials of NHS national screening programmes conducted between 1990 and October 2019.

It therefore does not include evidence and learning from how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted on health inequalities.

Access the final review reports, full results and appendices. The final report is split into 2, one covering the young person and adult (YPA) programmes and one covering the antenatal and newborn (ANNB) screening programmes.
