Details

These undertakings were given under the market investigations provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002.

They require postal franking machine suppliers, Pitney Bowes and Neopost, to:

  • sell machines to resellers and supply ink cartridges
  • tell the CMA which machines they offer to resellers

They also require Royal Mail to not defer to manufacturers in authorising third party maintainers of machines. Royal Mail must also publish details of all authorised third party maintainers.
