As part of the National Cyber Strategy, the government is working to ensure connected places technology is adopted in a secure and sustainable way.
To support this work, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) commissioned PETRAS to conduct a literature review. The focus of this review was to explore how public perceptions of connected places may affect their security and sustainability.
The research will support the government in making future policy decisions that seek to ensure the security and sustainability of connected places in the UK.
This research forms part of the wider evidence base which is informing the government’s policy development on secure connected places. For more information, please see the secure connected places home page.
