Notice is hereby given that:
In pursuance of section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, Natural England has, by the Purbeck Heaths National Nature Reserve No.01 Declaration made on the 21st day of February 2020, declared that the Stoborough Heath, Hartland Moor, and Studland and Godlingston Heath National Nature Reserves are extended to include the land referred to therein, and are to be known henceforth as Purbeck Heaths National Nature Reserve.
The land having a total area of 2335.17 hectares or thereabouts, situated in the Parishes of Studland, Corfe Castle, Arne, Church Knowle and Steeple with Tyneham in the county of Dorset and shown single hatched and shaded yellow on the map attached to the said Declaration, is held by the National Trust, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust, Dorset Wildlife Trust, Forestry England and Rempstone Estate Trust, bodies approved by Natural England, and is being managed as a nature reserve.
Natural England is satisfied that the said land is of national importance.
