Details

In March 2018, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) released their policy review on Secure by Design for consumer “Internet of Things (IoT)” products. As their primary measure, they detail a voluntary code of practice for manufacturers to ship products with features that make them Secure by Design. They also proposed exploring the role of a voluntary labelling scheme to communicate important information to consumers, which is explored in this report.
