Details

Airbus, one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers, has received £1.4 million from the government’s Regional Growth Fund to help provide training to develop specialist engineering skills to develop Airbus’s aircraft programmes.

The training attracted over £5 million in private sector investment and will create 200 new jobs at Airbus’s wing development facilities in Filton Bristol. The funding will help ensure Filton continues as a global centre of excellence in wing and landing gear design, testing and research.
