Background

Non-executive directors of the Audit, Risk and Assurance Committee in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology are required to declare any private financial or non-financial interests of their own, or of close family members, which may, or may be perceived to, conflict with their public duties.

These declarations are made in line with the following government policies and guidance:

Outside interests have been categorised into one of the following categories to be consistent with the minimum data collection fields set out for senior civil servants in the guidance for departments on the declaration and management of outside interests in the Civil Service.
