Details

The purpose of this divisional circular letter is to inform building control bodies in England and Wales on changes to the criteria for schemes of insurance for approved inspectors pursuant to section 47(6) of the Building Act 1984.

The guidance in this circular letter applies to buildings and building work in England, and also to excepted energy buildings in Wales.

The revised criteria will apply to all new and annual renewal of an approved inspector’s insurance on or after 1 June 2017.
