Details

This document is based on the findings of a series of workshops designed to support the activities of secretariats to Scientific Advisory Committees and Science Advisory Council (SACs). It provides guidance and case studies on:

  • openness, transparency and media engagement
  • lay members - representatives of the public on SACs
  • the network of SACs across government

This guidance should be read alongside the ‘Code of practice for Scientific Advisory Committees (CoPSAC)’.
