Details

This is an update to previous guidance for the detection, investigation, and control of sexually transmitted infection (STI) outbreaks. Guidance is provided on:

  • timely outbreak detection and exceedance investigations
  • investigation of STI outbreaks
  • control measures
  • communication during the stages of an STI outbreak investigation

This guidance is intended for use by any health professionals involved in the detection, investigation and management of STI outbreaks in England.
