Details

This notice sets out the guidelines followed in the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to ensure official statistics are produced with sound methods and assured quality. This is a requirement of principle 4 of the code of practice for official statistics on sound methods and assured quality.

The definitions of statistical quality used in DCLG are in line with the European Statistical System’s 6 dimensions and as listed in principle 4 of the code of practice. These are relevance, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility and clarity, comparability and coherence.
