In January 2024, the previous Minister for Data and Digital Infrastructure under the Sunak administration commissioned the Telecoms Supply Chain Diversification Advisory Council to produce new recommendations on telecoms diversification policy, building on the Telecoms Diversification Taskforce report. 

This report contains findings and targeted recommendations on how to manage risks arising from concentration in the supply and deployment of telecoms equipment.

The report is non-partisan, and the recommendations are addressed to the current Starmer administration.
