Details

The UK has previously legislated to save rights and obligations deriving from the Lugano Convention 2007 in specified legacy circumstances via the Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. This further instrument ensures these rights and obligations are not removed from UK law in the same specified legacy circumstances by section 2 of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 after 31 December 2023.
