Details

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, The Rt Hon Thérèse Coffey MP, has issued a direction to the Environment Agency.

The direction is to allow electricity generation sites in the UK, which have been given a limited life derogation (LLD), to operate until 30 September 2025. This is to address energy security issues if they arise, whilst aiming to limit unnecessary pollution.
