The United Kingdom has successfully negotiated membership of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).

CPTPP liberalises trade between countries with a combined population of half a billion people and includes some of the world’s most dynamic economies.

This document sets out how CPTPP membership gives the UK a new presence in the Indo-Pacific, and enables the UK to advance modern trading rules and support the multilateral trading system.
