Decision of the Charity Commission published on 24 August 2011.

The commission considered an application from The Way of the Livingness, the Religion of the Soul Trust for registration as a charity. The organisation aimed to advance The Way of the Livingness as a religion and carry out associated activities in the community.

On the evidence before it, the commission concluded that the organisation is not established for exclusively charitable purposes, particularly because the movement was not considered to be a religion as defined by charity law, and so could not be registered as a charity.
