This research considers:

  • whether to create a single central digital platform for traffic regulation orders (TROs)
  • views and attitudes towards adopting a TRO data publication platform
  • design options for creating a data publication platform

This research was completed on behalf of the Department for Transport by Valtech.

The research builds on the 2020 report about TROs and associated data. The research feeds into the 2022 consultation proposals for reforms to TROs and has been published alongside research into the impact of temporary TROs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
