Details
The UK-Republic of Korea Digital Partnership provides a new strategic framework for deepening digital cooperation between the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology of the UK (DSIT) and the Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea (MSIT).
It sets out provision for enhanced bilateral collaboration in areas including:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Cyber security
- Data
- Developing technology ecosystems
- Digital technical standards
- Fair and competitive digital markets
- Future telecoms and supply chain resilience
- Global digital norms
- Internet governance
- Online safety
- Semiconductors
To support implementation, the Digital Partnership establishes a UK-RoK Digital Partnership Forum, which will be chaired by a Vice Minister of the MSIT and a Ministerial counterpart at DSIT.
