Use the Making Tax Digital VATC9 form to tell your bank or building society to set up a Direct Debit to pay your VAT.

If your business only needs one signature to set up a Direct Debit, you can set it up online by signing in to your VAT account.
If you need more than one signature, complete the Making Tax Digital VATC9 form and send it to HMRC. This will tell your bank or building society to start paying your VAT by Direct Debit.
You must give your business’s VAT registration number and an email address in the ‘For HM Revenue and Customs official use only’ section of the form.
If you’re an agent, use the appropriate form for your client.
