Details
The WITA software completes appraisals of transport schemes in accordance with the wider economic impacts guidance.
It captures the welfare impacts of employment, investment and productivity effects that are not already included in the conventional user benefit calculations for transport schemes.
Software costs
All fees exclude VAT, which will be applied at the prevailing rate where appropriate.

Licence details
The licence enables the use of the software for an unlimited period and within 12 months of purchasing, access to:
- technical support
- updates to the software
A licence allows users to install multiple copies of the WITA software at a single site.
Additional copies for use at other sites may be discounted if bought at the same time.
An educational licence must be used for educational purposes only. Refer to the licence agreement for further details.
Payment
There are 2 payment options:
- send the software provider (Atkins) an official purchase order and the software will be despatched within 2 working days. An invoice, which must be paid within 30 days, will then be issued
- ask the software provider to issue an invoice after which the software is dispatched when full payment has been received
Non-UK orders must use option 2.

Download WITA
Users with an active license can download the software using their user ID and password.

Mapping WITA outputs
The mapping WITA outputs tool allows WITA users to create choropleth maps of WITA outputs in R. The tool is freely available to download from the Department for Transport’s GitHub page.
