Background
To support the expansion of the use of unencrypted email in jobcentres a new change of circumstances form (UC78e) was introduced on 10 September 2018.
The new UC78e will allow the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to notify you of a change of circumstances for a Universal Credit participant using the current unencrypted email process. The new form builds on the previous version and includes automation to pre-populate fields and offers drop down options to ensure accuracy of input.
Summary and action
This is for information only, there will be no change to how you notify Jobcentre Plus of changes of circumstances. However, you must be ready to accept the UC78e form from 10 September 2018.
The Work and Health Programme provider guidance chapter 10 will be updated by 30 September 2018.
