Provider memo 66: End of Provision Referral to Starts

Updated 23 December 2024

To: Work and Health Programme – JETS Providers

From: Work and Health Programme JETS Operational Policy Team

Subject: End of Provision Referral to Starts

Action: For information and action

Timing: Immediate

Background

1. The purpose of this memo is to inform you that some referrals not converted to starts before the 21st of October may still be able to be converted before PRaP lines close on the 30th of October 2022.

Summary and action

2. The JETS programme has now closed for new referrals. However, Customer Service Standards provide 15 working days to start Claimants on Programme.

3. If you have attempted to start a potential participant and for genuine reasons been unable to start them by the 21st October 2022 you can continue attempts until the PRaP line closes 30th October 2022.

4. If the potential participant agrees to participate on the programme, you will need to explain at the first meeting that whilst the programme was originally designed to run for six months, because they were unable to start before the 21st of October 2022 their end date on programme will be 21st April 2023, (less than six months). They will, though, receive consolidated support meaning overall they receive the same standard of support as someone who has completed six months.

5. Please keep a record of these Participants and in November 2022 make DWP aware of how many starts you have that fall within this cohort (22nd October – 30th October 2022) when the PRaP line has closed.
