Technical note: A comparison of aviation emissions methodologies

The Department for Transport has published a technical note comparing publicly available methodologies for estimating UK aviation emissions. Alongside UK official territorial greenhouse gas emissions statistics published by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, there are several other sources available to the public. This note is designed to increase transparency around how aviation emissions are calculated.

Aviation emissions statistics user engagement survey

Following the publication of the aviation emissions statistics technical note, we would like to hear your views on the value and use of publicly available UK aviation emissions statistics. This short user engagement survey will help better understand the public need for aviation emissions statistics and inform future statistical development.

Users can provide feedback by completing the survey before 30 November 2024.
