This year’s report contains the annual prison performance ratings for 2023/24 calculated using data from the prison performance framework covering 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024.
This publication of the Annual Prison Performance Ratings used the Prison Performance Tool Dashboard (PPTD) to assess performance in each prison. The PPTD used a data driven assessment to determine prisons ratings as below:

3: Good performance
2: Performance of concern
1: Performance of serious concern
