Details

These experimental estimates use longitudinal education outcomes (LEO) data to show earnings after an apprenticeship across different subject areas and by institution. They update previous estimates.

The LEO study brings together:

  • further education information from the Department for Education (DfE)
  • benefits information from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
  • employment and earnings information from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC)

We have also published research which shows that those who achieve further education qualifications are better off than those who start but do not achieve it.
