Details

This experimental statistical first release (SFR) is the first publication to use data from the statutory children’s social work workforce data collection.

It covers the:

• number of social workers

• vacancy rate of social workers

• turnover rate of social workers

• sickness absence of social workers

• number of agency workers

Data was collected from all local authorities. We plan to publish future SFRs annually.

   Medway Council’s data has been changed to amend a processing error. This has resulted in a minor amendment to the national figures, including a 0.26% change in the headline figure for the number of children’s social work workers.
