Between 1 May 2012 and 30 April 2013, 24 items were considered by the Reviewing Committee. 19 cases (including one which was considered in 2011/12 but not resolved until 2012/13), were deferred by the Secretary of State following the recommendation of the Committee.

The 19 items cover a diverse range of fields, from jewellery, the fine and decorative arts, to a three masted topsail schooner. Six items were bought by public institutions. Matching funds could not be raised for 12 items which included, among other items, a painting by Pablo Picasso, a photo album compiled by Julia Margaret Cameron, an illuminated manuscript and a black chalk study by Raphael.
