Details

This statistical report shows the area of land (and equivalent number of trees) newly planted in England with central government support, excluding replacement and restocking (Official Statistics). It shows progress made by government in meeting its commitment to increase tree planting. It gives the area of land and numbers of trees newly planted with support from ten sources including, for example, the Rural Development Programme for England (Countryside Stewardship), Woodland Carbon Fund, High Speed 2 Woodland Fund, and by Forestry England. This is one of the Forestry Commission’s Key Performance Indicators. It is related to the Forestry Commission Key Performance Indicators: Report for 2019-20.
