Details
Annual experimental statistics on health visitor service delivery. Information is presented at local authority of residence, regional and England level.
The latest annual data covers the period 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022. Data from previous years was published by OHID and Public Health England.
The metrics cover health reviews for pregnant women, children and their families at several stages which are:
- antenatal contact
- new birth visit
- 6 to 8 week review
- 12 month review
- 2 to 2 and a half year review
The data was collected through an interim reporting system set up to collect health visiting activity data at a local authority resident level. Data was submitted by local authorities on a voluntary basis.
Local authority commissioners and health professionals can use these resources to track how many pregnant women, children and families in their local area have received health promoting reviews at particular points during pregnancy and childhood.
Correction notice
Since publication in November 2022, an issue has been identified for the South East and East of England figures for health visitor service delivery metrics. This discrepancy has caused a change in the South East and East of England region and so OHID has updated and reissued the data in OHID’s Fingertips tool.
