An overview of the extent of tobacco use, tobacco related harm and the measures being taken to reduce this harm at a local level in England.

The local tobacco control profiles data update for March 2020 has been published by Public Health England (PHE).
These profiles have been designed to help local government and health services to assess the effect of tobacco use on their local populations. The data are presented in an interactive tool that allows users to view them in a user-friendly format.
This update contains:
- new data for smoking prevalence calculated from the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
- new data for smoking attributable hospital admissions for 2018 to 2019
- new data for hospital admissions for smoking related conditions for 2018 to 2019
- a new indicator for the rate of prescriptions for nicotine replacement products per 100,000 smokers
