Changes made to the summary in June 2021
The following corrections have been made to the National Insurance number allocations to adult overseas nationals to December 2020 statistical summary.
In section “1. Main Stories” in paragraph 3, the following sentence has been changed from: “Registrations to Non-EU nationals in the twelve months ending December 2020, outnumbered registrations to EU nationals in the annual data since 2010” to “Registrations to Non-EU nationals in the twelve months ending December 2020, outnumbered registrations to EU nationals for the second time in the annual data since 2010”.
In section “5.2 Recent Changes in EU Registrations”, in the third bullet point underneath the first table, EU8 has been corrected to EU2.
Also in section “5.2 Recent Changes in EU Registrations”, the image showing the time series of registrations by quarter had incorrect values for Q4 (December 2020) and Q3 (September 2020), whereby EU2 values were those of EU8 and EU8 values were those of EU2.
In section “6.2 Recent Changes in Non-EU registrations”, the tables with the following headings “Non-EU individual nationalities with the largest increase in registrations in Q4 2020, change in registrations and percentage change from Q4 2019” and “Non-EU individual nationalities with the largest decrease in registrations in Q4 2020, change in registrations and percentage change from Q4 2019” have had the first column headings corrected from EU country to Non-EU country.
