This Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) quarterly report contains data on National Insurance number allocations to adult overseas nationals entering the UK.
Data tables
ODS data tables are no longer published alongside the quarterly releases. All the information previously published in the tables is now available in DWP’s main statistics tool Stat-Xplore.

2 graphs have been updated: In section 3 the 'Year end NINo registration totals for EU and non-EU nationals' graph, and in section 5 the 'YE NINo registration totals by EU nationality group' graph.

The following changes have been made to the statistical summary: The registration figure has been updated in section 3 for December 2022 to state 1.1 million (previously stated 1 million). The label has been updated on the "Year end NINo registration totals for EU and non-EU nationals" graph to reflect the total figure of 1.1 million. The vertical line event labels have also been adjusted to accurately reflect the timing of events on this graph, as well as on the ‘YE NINo registration totals by EU nationality group’ graph. In section 4, two references to September 2019 have been updated to replace the date September 2019 with December 2019.
