Details
Statistics on attitudes around travel and transport issues, asked of people who have completed the main National Travel Survey.
Questions in wave 2 were put to 2,654 individuals and includes responses on a wide array of topics, including
- Active transport (walking and cycling)
- Road journeys and the environment
- Road congestion
- Road safety
- Public transport
- Transport and disability
Headline figures include:
- 61% of respondents are in favour of Low Emission Zones (LEZ)
- 63% of respondents feel that the law around driving whilst under the influence of drugs is not being properly enforced
- 70% of respondents support increased accessibility on public transport, even if this increases fares
