Non-domestic rating: challenges and changes, 2017 rating list, December 2022
Statistics on checks (England only), challenges and assessment reviews against the 2017 local rating list at 31 December 2022. Following the December 2021 release of this publication, the VOA took the decision to stop producing excel tables on the 2010 local rating list because volumes had reached a sufficiently low level. Figures on outstanding cases will still be available through the statistical commentary.

This release includes statistics relating to checks and challenges under the new Check Challenge Appeal (CCA) system used for the 2017 rating list in England.
As volumes have reached a sufficiently low level, the VOA has taken the decision to stop producing excel tables on the 2010 local rating list. Figures on outstanding cases will still be available through the statistical commentary.
These statistics will be expanded in future releases depending on user needs, and data availability and quality. There will be an update of the full publication in May 2023.
