This release of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) official statistics is published in a HTML format for the first time and includes data up to 30 April 2020.
These official statistics include data for:
- caseloads (cases with entitlement)
- registrations, clearances and awards
- award reviews and changes of circumstance (experimental)
- award rates
- award types and review periods (experimental)
- mandatory reconsiderations
- average clearance times and average outstanding times
- mandatory reconsideration clearance times
- customer journey statistics (experimental) tracking initial decisions following a PIP assessment through to mandatory reconsideration and appeal

Next release
The next release of PIP statistics will be published on 15 September 2020. The data tables accompanying this release incorrectly state that the release date will be on 10 September 2020.
