Details

Following a review of this publication it has been decided to stop production of the Sub-national road transport fuel consumption factsheet summary report from 2015 onwards. The statistical data set will continue to publish as normal on an annual basis.

The analysis provided is as follows:

Road transport fuel consumption

Analysis looks at United Kingdom consumption, which is split between the seven vehicle types (buses, diesel cars, petrol cars, motorcycles, HGV, diesel LGV and petrol LGV). It also looks at trends in consumption of cars by fuel type (petrol and diesel) and purpose of travel (personal or freight). The analysis also covers different road types and highlights overall consumption in the highest and lowest consuming local authorities.
