Fees vary depending on how you submit your applications to us. For reduced fees, sign up to our Business e-services (the portal and Business Gateway).

How to pay fees

You can pay for services and substantive applications by:

  • variable Direct Debit, if you have a Business e-services account
  • cheque or postal order - make payable to ‘HM Land Registry’ and send with your application to our standard address

HM Land Registry statutory fees are not subject to Value Added Tax (VAT).

This guide is based on the statutory provision of the Land Registration Fee Order 2021, which came into effect on 31 January 2022 and still applies.
