You must record and report ozone-depleting substances (ODS) you import, export, sell or destroy in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales).
Record your ozone-depleting substance activities
You can use your own systems to keep records.
You must record amounts of:
- ODS
- equipment containing ODS
If you destroy ODS you must record the:
- quantity of each of the gases that you destroyed
- technologies used to destroy the gases
- quantity of each of the gases that you held in stock at the end of the year to be destroyed
Report your ozone-depleting substance activities
When you need to report
You must submit your annual activity report by 31 March for the previous calendar year to the Environment Agency.
For example, you have until 31 March 2023 to report your ODS activities during 2022.
How to submit your report

Register for an ozone-depleting substances (ODS) account (if you do not have an organisation ID already).

Download, fill in and submit the annual report to the Environment Agency F gas support team at f-gassupport@environment-agency.gov.uk.
