2025
Added the main items and messages in the NCTS operation and removed link to old version of TMS
2. Status of goods - Transit Manual Part II refers
Content amended to reflect changes for the direct landing of UK fisheries products into EU and transit to UK.
3. Guarantees (Transit Manual Part III refers)
Type 6 Guarantee is not valid for transit so option has been removed. Automatic insertion of 10,000 euros removed.
Content updated to reflect changes in declaration requirements, the removal of the mandatory requirement for a paper TAD to accompany a transit movement and a new electronic process for recording incidents. Section 'Trader at destination not connected to the NCTS' has been removed as no longer required.
New section added. Guidance specific to movements using National Transit procedures.
Alterations made to reflect changes in transit procedures and improvements in the text notified since the previous update. New chapter added before this one, meaning this chapter is now '6'.
7. The Business Continuity Procedure
The use of the Single Administrative Document (SAD) has been removed from the BCP.
8. Contraventions and Civil Penalties (CPs)
Some sections have been removed as longer appropriate to appear in the Transit Manual Supplement.

7. Additional Control Procedures (formerly T5)
Section 7 about Additional Control Procedures (formerly T5) withdrawn as it was replaced by a new section 7 regarding the Business Continuity Procedure.

This new online format for the supplement has been published to replace the previous document version. The content has also been updated to improve text and reflect changes in transit procedures and the upcoming transition to NCTS 5. The transition changes involve replacing box numbers with Data Elements, removal of CHIEF, amendments to Pre-lodgement of the CTC Transit Declaration (Normal Procedure), further updates to the new PoUS process and introduction of new items including the Office of Incident, correction and amendment of the transit declaration, new process of pre-lodging a transit declaration, reduced data set and use of the transition period TAD as an alternative process for business continuity procedures.
