Examination is normally directed through profiled checks.

Most profiles are on CHIEF as route 1, but may have instructions to consider reselecting to route 2.

Reselections will be based on specific points referred to in the profile.

Any examination will be carried out by the UK Border Agency (UKBA) on instructions from the National Clearance Hub (NCH).
