CSLM8550 - Compliance: borrower compliance: switching on notices
A borrower may claim that they have not received a notice to start making repayments. The Student Loans Company can confirm to the borrower whether the correct notification was issued.
Where liability is disputed for either of the following reasons the matter can only be resolved by appeal, see CSLM8580.
- On the basis that a notice had not been issued by the Secretary of State
Or
- Exceptionally, because of an objection to the principle of repayment of the loan
