DMBM880060 - RLS: Tracing Unit procedures: RLS signal unset by another office

Some content of this manual is being considered for archiving. If there is content you use regularly, please email hmrcmanualsteam@hmrc.gov.uk to let us know as soon as possible.

If another office removes the RLS signal on the Head of Duty, IDMS automatically moves the work item overnight to the Tracing Unit worklist appropriate to the head of duty. For example C/W SA for SA cases and changes the next action to RLS REVIEW and next action date to TODAY.

You should therefore regularly review the following worklists:

  • C/W SA
  • C/W PAYE
  • C/W MISC
  • C/W ASSESSED
  • C/W CT
  • C/W TAX CREDITS

for these work items and use TRANSFER OWNERSHIP function to transfer the work items to the appropriate DMO.

Note: You should not change the proposed next action of RLS REVIEW or the next action date before requesting the transfer.
