ECSH32645 - Visits with other stakeholders

Economic Crime Supervision (ECSteams may work with other Fraud Investigation Services (FIS) teams, other HMRC departments, other government departments, Supervisors, agencies, or public authorities on joint operations. You should consider whether a case you are working requires visits with other stakeholders. This will be set out within the Standard Information Package (SIP) see ECSH32710 SIP or you may receive a request during the course of a compliance check.

Other key considerations include:

  • what powers are being used by you and the other stakeholders?

  • are stakeholders visiting premises using their own or ECS powers?

  • is the appropriate authority in place? Some stakeholders will be covered by ECS powers and others not. You can find more information on this within - ECS 70000 HMRC Powers.
