EXPP7010 - Post shipment action: despatch of documents

Following the introduction of the National Export System (NES) any documents required are to be sent to the National Clearance Hub (NCH) within the deadline agreed.

Management is to access the risk of forwarding any documents required by the NCH without awaiting withdrawal notices.

The risk assessment should include:

• whether you are satisfied that export goods received into control, cannot leave the port, other than for export, without the written authority of Customs
• the relative volume of exports withdrawn.

On the basis of this assessment the NCH should be approached as appropriate for its agreement to send pre shipment declarations without awaiting withdrawal notices.
