TCM1000076 - How to check if there is already a tax credits claim for either or both customers

Step 1

If you have a NINO, go to Step 2.

If you do not have a NINO, go to Step 3.

Step 2

On the ‘Function Menu’

  • select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘View’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘All’ checkbox
  • select ‘OK’

If a signal box displays the message ‘No Match Found’

  • there is not already a tax credits claim for the customer

If you are taken to another screen 

  • there is already a tax credits claim for the customer

Note: On a two-person claim, you will need to repeat this action for the second customer.

Step 3

On the ‘Function Menu’

  • select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘View’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen
  • enter the customers

    • surname
    • first name
    • DOB
  • select ‘All’
  • select ‘OK’

If a signal box displays the message ‘No Match Found’

  • there is not already a tax credits claim for the customer

If you are taken to another screen 

  • there is already a tax credits claim for the customer

Note: On a two-person claim, you will need to repeat this action for the second customer.
