TCM1000103 - How to mark the Annual Declaration as not served

Changes to previous version - amended guidance, amendments to step 2.

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu’

  • select ‘Renewal’ on the toolbar
  • select ‘Manage Finalisation’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data - Applicant’ screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select the ‘Period’ checkbox and enter the relevant year as 06/04/YYYY - 05/04/YYYY
  • select ‘OK’.

If you are taken to the ‘Select Household’ screen

  • select the relevant household
  • select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
  • go to Step 2.

If you are taken straight to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen, go to Step 2.

Step 2

On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen

  • select ‘Continue’. You will be taken to the ‘Finalisation Details’ screen
  • select ‘Continue’. You will be taken to the ‘Notice Details’ screen
  • in the ‘S17 Notice’ field, select the ‘Not Served Applicant 1’ checkbox and / or ‘Not Served Applicant 2’ checkbox .

Note: In a joint claim where a family break up has occurred, both checkboxes must be selected.

  • select ‘Process’. This will mark the Annual Declaration as ‘Not Served’
