Changes to previous version - new guidance
Step 1
On the relevant work list
- select the relevant work list item
- select ‘File’ on the toolbar
- select ‘Next Function’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Select Next Function’ screen
- select ‘Manage Finalisation’
- select ‘OK’.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Tax Credit Period’ screen
- select the relevant award
- select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen, go to Step 2.
Step 2
If you are finalising an award only, go to Step 3.
If you are terminating an award, go to Step 4.
If you are finalising and renewing an award, go to Step 5.
If you are renewing an award only, go to Step 6.
Step 3
On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- select ‘Process’. You will be taken to the ‘Process’ screen
- select ‘TCO’ from the ‘Action Authority’ field
- select the relevant option from the ‘Finalise’ field
- select ‘Finalise’. The award will be finalised on the information held.
Step 4
On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- select ‘Process’. You will be taken to the ‘Process’ screen
- select ‘TCO’ from the ‘Action Authority’ field
- select the relevant option from the ‘Terminate’ field
- select ‘Terminate’. The CY award will be terminated.
Step 5
On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- select ‘Process’. You will be taken to the ‘Process’ screen
- select ‘TCO’ from the ‘Action Authority’ field
- select ‘Full Reply’ from the ‘Finalise and Renew’ field
- select ‘Finalise and Renew’.
If no error message displays after you have selected ‘Finalise and Renew’, the award will be finalised and renewed.
If an error message displays after you have selected ‘Finalise and Renew’, select ‘OK’ or ‘Yes’ as appropriate. The award will be finalised and renewed.
If the ‘Finalise and Renew’ button is greyed out
- select ‘Full Reply’ from the ‘Finalise’ field
- select ‘Finalise’. The award will be finalised and renewed.
Step 6
On the ‘Manage Finalisation’ screen
- select ‘Process’. You will be taken to the ‘Process’ screen
- select ‘TCO’ from the ‘Action Authority’ field
- select the relevant option from the ‘Renew’ field
- select ‘Renew’. The award will be renewed.
