TCM1000267 - How to update bank account details
Step 1
On the ‘Function Menu’
- select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
- select ‘Change of Circumstances’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘All’ checkbox
- select ‘OK’.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Household’ screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Application’ screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Select Application’ screen
- select the relevant claim
- select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Application’ screen
- go to Step 2.
If you are taken straight to the ‘Amend Application’ screen, go to Step 2.
If you are taken to the ‘Free Format’ screen
- select ‘No’ to cancel out of ‘Change of Circumstances’ function
- go to Step 3.
Step 2
On the ‘Amend Application’ screen
- select ‘Pm1’ on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Details’ screen will display
- enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account No’ field
- enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Code’ field
- enter the account name in the ‘Account Name’ field
- select ‘OK’. You will be taken to the ‘Amend Finish’ screen
- do not complete the ‘Amend Finish’ screen at this point, just return to the guidance you were previously following.
Step 3
- on the ‘Function Menu’
- select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
- select ‘Correction’ from the options available. You will be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
- enter the customer’s NINO
- select the ‘All’ checkbox
- select ‘OK’. You will prompted to make the change in function ‘Capture Application’
- select ‘Yes’ on the message. You will be taken to the ‘Applicant Details’ screen
- select ‘Pm1’ on the toolbar. The ‘Payment Details’ screen will display
Note: If it is a joint claim, select either ‘Pm1’ for the first customer or ‘Pm2’ for the second customer depending on which customer has opened the bank account.
- enter the new bank account number in the ‘Account No’ field
- enter the bank sort code in the ‘Sort Code’ field
- enter the account name in the ‘Account Name’ field
- select ‘Sm’ on the toolbar. You will be taken to the ‘Summary Information’ screen
Note: Do not select ‘OK’ at this stage.
