TCM1000453 - How to close an appeal

Changes to previous version - new guidance.

Step 1

On the ‘Function Menu’

  • select ‘Application’ on the toolbar
  • select ’Maintain Appeal’ from the options available. You’ll be taken to the ‘Key Entry Data’ screen
  • enter the customer’s NINO
  • select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Select Award’ screen
  • select the award with an open appeal

Note: This will be the award with an ’O’ in the ‘Appeals’ column.

  • select ‘OK’. You’ll be taken to the ‘Maintain Appeal’ screen
  • select ‘Closed’ in the ‘Appeal status’ field
  • select ‘OK’. The appeal is now closed.
